Did you know that Gays and Lesbians dont have a hate crime legislation? Does anyone remember that boy named Matthew Shepard? Remember the two stright guys that killed him because he was gay? Did you knowthey still don not considered it a hate crime because gays are not currently protected by hate crime legislation. That could of be changed if we voted NO on Proposition 8. I was also looking at vids on youtube. Most of the pro gay videos comments are "Adding comments has been disabled for this video." But if your anti- gays you can post all the shit you want. And if your a gay or lesbian all of your comments were put as SPAM. And the things that people say, like this one person on the video: Proposition 8 - made simple "I agree with the many others who've commented. I believe that we must love all, but we do NOT have to change our moral ethics or opinions on these issues. Marriage is an ordinance of God to the Judeo-Christian group, as well as to many others. It has been for millenia. I intend to keep it that way. I'm voting YES on 8!! ps Yes, I have gay friends and I love and respect them, but it doesn't mean I'm going to condone certain behavior." What behavior...??? How are gays and lesbians acting? WTF? And they do have gay friends? what kind of friend are you that you want to deny them form being happy? I just dont get it anymore...So many Closed minded people out there. Oh and this other one: "exactly! which its getting rather tiresome seeing this kinda of behavior from the gay community with all there self richeous mockery toward those of differing faiths. Its sad to see these people with few or no standards at all continually mock and demean those with standards and morals and families. I see more hate coming from them day after day. And I wonder, what if prop 8 passes? Will they revolt in utter violence? there contention is already geared toward religion especially the lds church" You try and live without the rights to own a home or apot kids or live in fear of bigot who's gonna hurt you for being gay or a lesbian. You'll be pissed off too if you couldn't do all those things. I'm not a lesbian, but i do have friends who are and its sad to see how they cant do these things that we can. We try and make this "america" so pure and clean. So many people out there make being gay or a lesbian a bad thing, like if it was a disease. Wtf?
Oh and most people who were pro prop 8 aslo said "It about protecting the definition of marriage and protecting religious freedom." The definition of marriage used to be a man and woman of the same race. People opposed to inter-racial marriages said they were protedting traditional marriage.So tell me this how are two people getting married affecting your freedom to think as you want?
Idk what to think anymore about this whole deal. I know its been a while since the voting and what not..but it just hurts to see some peoples plans and dreams get fucked over because of :reglion: Cuz thats what it all seems to me.
